Metacognition is a critical competency for developing self-directed, future-ready learners. In this symposium, join us as we present insights into Singapore secondary students\u2019 metacognition for learning and transfer, drawn from quantitative, qualitative, and neural imaging perspectives. Discover our joint efforts with teachers to enhance students\u2019 metacognition through a student-focused Metacognition Intervention Programme and a Professional Development Programme in Metacognition designed to strengthen teachers\u2019 metacognitive practices. Metacognitive strategies that drive meaningful learning and potential transfer\u2014emerging from real classroom interventions and practices\u2014will be discussed and showcased by participating teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
