Prof. Lee Ngan Hoe<br>Dr Imelda Santos Caleon<br>Dr Ng Kit Ee, Dawn<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Collaborators<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/td><td>Professor Bal\u00e1zs Gulyas (NTU)<br>Dr Fiona Cheam (MOE)<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-foreground-color has-text-color has-link-color has-josefin-sans-font-family has-normal-font-size wp-elements-26f780ffe3f09cf179893b9279695f14\">Study 3 combines cutting-edge state-of-the-art functional neuroimaging, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), and behavior observation techniques to understand neural processes of metacognitive strategies in secondary school students and examine how individual factors such as a child\u2019s fluid intelligence moderate the neural activation patterns and metacognitive processes during problem-solving. It shares the same student samples and tasks with Study 2 and links neural correlates of metacognition with survey and interview results in Studies 1 and 2 respectively. Study 3, which, also provides a more objective and online means to assess the effectiveness of the instructional programme forStudy 4.
